Muffins with Mom~Last Day of Catholic Schools Week

Today was the last day of Catholic schools week. I took the kids to mass and after we had muffins and juice/coffee. Of course, we had to visit the book fair and we got a few more books and a few off the teacher's wish lists. I got name tags from each child and decided to wear all four of them. I think I am one of the few moms with 3+ kids at St. Vincent, so I decided to wear all of them with pride!

Play Date

The girls had their first play date today. They had a little girl in their class, Shelbie, come over and play for a few hours. It was so nice! They got along very well and I didn't hear a peep from them at all.

The Birthday Triplets

The girls got this book for Christmas, called The Birthday Triplets. Granny Rosie's Amazing, Magical Day. By Kelly Tooman. We came across Kelly when we lived in Cleveland. She is a teacher there. The book was published this past summer and the girls really like the triplets. We are trying to help publicize her book, so we took a few pictures and drew some pictures for Kelly. They will be featured in a newsletter this week.

But it is going to be in the 20s tomorrow and Tuesday before going back up in the 40s/50s. Today though, we enjoyed it.

Basketball Season

Not the best pictures, but Jack started his seasons today in both basketball leagues. He had back-to-back games today. His Upward team played first and although they didn't keep score, they lost. Jack scored a basket in that game and had a few steals. the Upward league is associated with the Nazarene Church and at half-time during practices and games, they sit down and study the bible. The Boys and Girls Club of Bentonville is a little more competitive. The rules are followed more closely. Jack's team is actually quite good. They kept score and their team won 26/16. Jack score two points and played really hard. There are a few really good second graders on his team! He had fun in both games. The girls and I watched both this time, but we might have to scale it back to one game next week because it is really hard for them to sit still!

They ran through the tunnel while they announced their names at the start of the game.

Jack has the ball (behind the white line, a little blurry). He played forward most of this game in the Upward league.

Grandmom and Granddad Visit (again)

 Watching Frozen on the computer
 Here comes Granddad

They ended up leaving the next morning because of the bad weather expected over the weekend, but it was a nice time anyway.
