New Year's Eve!

We stayed in for New Year's Eve. We went to mass and then to dinner at the 8th Street Market.  Elizabeth did not make it to the New Year, but Kate, Jack and Anna did. Kate and Anna banged pots and pans outside at the New Year. They had fun. John had his fire going strong all evening. Rocky woke up right before the New Year.

Year End Running Totals

Here is my total for the year--a few runs are missing from my Garmin, so the total is 1782.4 miles. I had about 225 biking miles and a few swimming yards--1500. My November miles was only 90 and December was only about 20 miles because of my hip. I took about 8 weeks off to try to heal it and it is finally getting better. I'm hoping to start running and cross train again in the next few days. Finally!

Party

We had a lot of down time this Christmas break, so the girls decided to make a Party Night and gave us invitations. We played Wits and Wagers and Headbanz upstairs in Anna's room that they had set up. There were prizes, too. It was fun!

Ice Skating

The girls love to ice skate. We go each winter. This year we made it downtown twice. They are getting pretty good at it!

Christmas Day

This was the first time we spend Christmas Eve at our house and woke up Christmas morning to open gifts-- all of us in matching PJs. The kids were up very early--6 am and ready to go! After gifts, we made bacon, homemade donuts and rolls and sausage. In the afternoon, we went to see the movie, The Grinch. It was a very nice day.

We left Indiana early this morning and drove home in time to make the 6pm Christmas Eve mass.
