Knight of Columbus Free Throw Contest

Well, after an eventful ride to Morrilton (we were diverted off the highway for an accident for 50 minutes), we made it to the area one minute late. Which means Elizabeth and Jack did not warm up at all. The first time they touched a basketball was when it was their turn. Elizabeth started off really well and made her first 5. We didn't count all her shots but she made around 13-15 out of 25. Jack made 16/25. He started off great too, 8/10. He tied for second in the state in his age group. We didn't know Elizabeth won until they called her name. I think she beat the second place girl by one and she made her last basket. Good job Elizabeth and Jack!

Bentonville Half Marathon

 I ran in my 5th Bentonville Half marathon this morning and I was happy to feel great enough to PR the course. I finished 1:43:38, or 7:53/mile.

Spring Break Showcase--Springdale

Jack's team struggled this weekend in the rain. They lost their first game 7-6 to the Punishers, which is a team they beat a few weeks ago. They made a come back in the last inning, but it wasn't enough. Jack had one ground out and one walk with one run and one stolen base. The second game was rained out in the middle of it, but he did pitch one inning. In the bracket play today, the boys struggled with throwing strikes to a team that did not swing the bat at all. They lost 8-3. Jack struck out in his one time at bat.

Walk on the Beach

We went on one more walk on the beach before we had to leave for the airport this morning. We had lunch at Cheesecake Factory before we got on the plane in Tampa. What a fun week!

Today, we spent the morning making slime, hanging out at the beach and pool, drinking pina coladas, playing on the hammocks, and walking down the beach.
