Track Meet #2 at Lincoln, AR

The girls had their second track meet. The wind gusts were in the upward 20s for this meet so the times were not great. Anna and Elizabeth ran the 4x800m relay and finished 3rd with 11:50.12. Anna also ran the 800m and had a huge battle with Gabbie for second. She set a PR in the wind with a time of 2:32.06. They went back and forth in the last 100m but Gabbie got her by 0.09 seconds! The best was they gave each other a high five after the race! Anna is now first in the state for the 800m in 7th grade. Elizabeth was 5th in the mile with a 6:24.54, not her best by almost 30 seconds. Anna and Kate ran the 4x400m and finished second with a time of 4:03.43. Kate ran the 4x100 and finished third with a time of 56.89. She finished 4th in the 400 with a time of 1:09.95, 9th in the 100 with a time of 15.28, 5th in the triple jump with a jump of 27-11.5. The team finished 4th. 

 

More Track Times

Miles split lists the kids in order by grade (7th, 8th, and all of jr. high and high school). As of the first meet,  Anna is ranked 24th in all jr. high and high school in the 1600m, Kate is 22nd in the 200m in all of 7th grade, Kate is 2nd in 7th grade for the 400m and triple jump, Elizabeth is 4th in the 800m for 7th grade, Kate is 62nd in the long jump for 7th grade, Elizabeth is 61st in all jr. high and high school for the 800m, and Kate is 75th in all jr. high and high school for the 400m.

 

Corn Hole Games

We had a lot of fun playing corn hole this past week.

 

hair Braids

The girls were waiting to get their hair braided and finally did on the last night of the trip.

 

Mallory Square Sunset (Again)

We went back to Mallory Square to watch the sunset again. We saw the acrobats again. Jack wanted the huge pineapple drink so the kids split one.
