Bentonville Half Marathon

 The girls did the relay with Anna and Kate starting the race and holding a 6:55 pace, then Elizabeth and Kayla finishing the race and holding a 6:23 pace. There were no results for the relay. John ran under 2 hours with a 6 minute PR. Jack ran around 8:30 pace (died the last three miles because he did not run much the last month). I ran close to a PR on the course and felt great. Finished first in my age group. The weather had been so bad this past week and the race was moved from yesterday because of storms. We are thankful we were able to run it. 

Whitey Smith Relays

 The girls had a relay meet tonight. The weather was pretty good, just a little wind. Anna and Elizabeth were part of the 4x800 team. Elizabeth had a 2:20.72 second leg and Anna anchored with a 2:16.34. They broke the state record, meet record and school record with a time of 9:11.81. It is also US #2 for the current season. Anna ran the 4x4 that also broke the school record. She ran a 61 split. The team score was 3:59.51. Elizabeth and Kate ran the DMR (12:54.14) with Olivia and Sam. Kate ran the 1200m with a time of 3:53.17. Elizabeth had just finished the 4x8 so she did not go all out in her 1600 (5:25.91). All three teams finished first in the meet.
