Jack's First Collegiate Golf Tournament
Jack played as an individual in his first collegiate golf tournament in North Carolina. He played 18 holes on Saturday before getting rained out and not finishing the second 18 holes. He shot 75. On Sunday, he played 36 holes of golf and played for about 11 hours in some cold, windy, rainy weather. John was able to go watch him. He started the day rough and his middle round was 84. He came back and shot 73 on his final round to finished 4th on the team. He had a great first experience and was really tired.
SMU Official Visit
The girls had their first official college visit to SMU after the race. They went to the football game with the cross country girls for the first half, but it was cold and rainy so they didn't stay for the second half. They went to lunch with the coach and the girls. Then, they went back to the hotel for some downtime and then went over to one of the girl's apartments for dinner with the whole cross country and track team. I went to dinner with the coaches and other parents of recruits. Sunday morning, the girls went on a run and then went to brunch with the cross country team again. We stopped by the bookstore before we headed back home. It was a great first visit and the girls all liked many things about the campus and the team. They have some time before they have to make a decision, but it was a good first visit.

First Cross Country Meet: Southlake
The girls competed in their first cross country meet in Dallas this weekend. Elizabeth had a PR and finished 9th with a time of 18:14.10. Anna was right behind her with a huge PR of 18:17.40. Kate finished 6th on the team with a time of 18:54.00. The team won, beating some high ranked Texas teams. The course was flat and fast, but a little muddy from the rain.
