We spent Thanksgiving at home this year. We had turkey and ham with rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes and salad. We made a pumpkin cheesecake (it wasn't very good) and had pumpkin pie. It was nice to have Jack home. The kids decorated gingerbread houses, we saw the Bentonville square lights, ate dinner at Table Mesa, and watched the movie Running Man (it was pretty bad!).
The girls ran with their team at NXR south. The course was long (3.2) and at a new location this year (Texas A&M). The races got switched around because of bad weather in the area, so the girls championship ran first at 7am. The parking was messed up and Jack and I ended up walking to the course while John tried to park, but he had to get out of line, park in a different lot on campus, and sprint to the start line to catch the race. Many parents missed the race, including three of our Rogers parents. The girls team finished 4th, missing qualifying to nationals. Elizabeth finished 50th (18:39.3). Anna finished 56j (1845.70), and Kate finished 141st (19:40.40).
Anna got a hand written postcard from the OSU coach. She has been talking to her since the summer.
The girls cross country team was recognized at the Rogers school board meeting.
We had the golf banquet for the girls and boys. Anna and Kate were recognized for All State. Kate was recognized for the lowest score average on the team this year.
