Dallas Lake on the 4th

We drove all day on Monday to Dallas Lake to the Scudder's lake house. The kids were so excited to see their cousins and to swim, tube and ride in the boat. There was a lot of baseball, too. We stayed there Monday night and Tuesday night. The kids made s'mores by the fire on Tuesday. Today, we had breakfast with Mimi and Aunt Mary and then went for a boat ride before going back into Fort Wayne. The kids looks forward to this all summer long--we have such a nice time up there!

State Tournament

Jack's team played in the single A state tournament in Greenwood this weekend. It was so hot! The boys played their two pool play games on Saturday and did really well, winning them both and they ended up seeded 3rd. On Sunday, they won their first game, but lost the second. They finished 5th of 14 teams overall. In the first game, Jack had one strike out and two walks. He pitched 1 2/3 innings with one strike out and no earned runs. In the second game, he had one hit, was hit by a pitch and one strike out. In the first bracket game, he had two at-bats and two hits. He pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed one hit, two runs and walked two. In the last game he struck out once and waked once.
