Elkins Cross Country Meet #2

The course was long, 2.1 miles so the times were not as good, but the girls average mile pace was better than last week. Anna finished 4th in the little schools and 4th overall with a 13.41:22 (6:33 per mile pace). Kate finished 6th in the little schools and 7th overall with a time of 14:03:27 (6:42 per mile pace). Elizabeth finished 10th in the little schools and 11th overall with a time of 14:36:59 (6:55 per mile pace). St. Vincent girls came in second.

Fun Cards for Grandmom!

 

Anna's Hair

Anna got hair stuff for her birthday from Grandmom and Granddad and she did my hair! Kate got a foot spa and Elizabeth got art and caligraphy items. Grandmom had fun helping each of the girls use their gifts.

 

Shiloh Cross Country Meet

The girls had their first cross country meet of the season. They were all very nervous. Kate and Elizabeth had a goal of being under 14 minutes. Anna's goal was under 13:30. Kate passed Anna right at the end. She was 13:29, Anna was 13:32. Elizabeth was 13:50. They finished 4th, 5th and 9th in the 1A-4A division and St. Vincent girls won the meet. They finished 14th, 15th and 22nd overall against 7th, 8th and 9th graders and over 400 jr. high girl runners. Overall in the meet, they finished second only to Bentonville High 9th graders.

 

Playing Cards, SVdP FB and Watching Trifest

Grandmom and Granddad came to visit on their way down to Texas. The kids played a lot of cards! They liked the new cards we got Grandmom for her birthday that has all the families on the backs of them. We also went up to Memorial Park to watch some friends do the Trifest and cheer them on!
