Candy and Night at the Museum

I took the kids to a summer kids movie today and let them pick out a box of candy before. Jack, especially like the move, I think the girls liked the candy!

Slushes and the Park

The girls have been begging to go to the park all week. And it has been so hot, we kept telling them no! Today it was a little cooler (upper 80s) after it rained in the afternoon, so I took them to get slushes, then to the park to play.

Sunday--Looking at First Communion Dresses

We took the little girls to JoAnn's to look at First Communion dresses. They all had a lot of opinions and were running excitedly though the store pointing to lace and material they liked. Grandmom has her work cut out for her making five dresses this spring!

Jack, John and Granddad when to Tulsa for Jack's final summer US Kids Golf 9 hole tournament. Jack finished 5th with a 61. It was 112* and so hot!

Pink Hair

 We spent the day swimming, going to the girls soccer game (everyone scored one goal, except Kate scored two), playing with dress up, making up skits/plays and finally going to mass in the evening. We took some pictures before church. Grandmom was trying to find some sparkles to spray in their hair and instead sprayed pink hair spray! They girls were excited to say the least!

 They said they were twins!

 Maria and Kate spent a lot of time making this bed for the night. They only spent the first half of the night here, however. 

Arkansas Express Baseball Party

We hosted the end of the year Express party. The boys and their families came and had a blast swimming and playing wiffle ball. It was fun to see all these friends after a long season and just relax. The boys (and parents) all grew close this season spending almost every weekend together this spring/summer. Everyone is looking forward to the fall when we will start practices and tournaments again!

Scott Simpson Clinic

The First Tee had a clinic with Scott Simpson. Granddad took Jack. He said it was very good and afterward, he helped the kids with their swings.

Jack also played in his last "get them golfing" 6 hole tournament this mornings and shot a 34 which is his best score all summer.

                                       

While Jack was at the clinic, the girls and Grandmom and me when to eat lunch at McDonalds to get out of the heat!

Cousin Slumber Parties

Grandmom, Granddad, Maria, Maggie and Marie came back today. We are ready for them to spend the week with us! Maria and Kate have become buddies this summer and they set up their beds (and books) on the downstairs couch.
