Fort Wayne for Memorial Day Weekend

We took a quick trip to Fort Wayne for Memorial Day weekend. Anna, Kate and Jack left on Thursday with Mimi so they could spend an extra day there. Jack ended up playing golf Friday with John Chiazza, Uncle Mike and Michael. It was in the mid 50s and raining. The girls decided not to play. Elizabeth wanted to go to school to go to the field trip on Thursday, so she stayed back with and rode with John and I on Friday. We hit a lot of traffic! On Saturday, the girls and John practiced a little golf and we hung out with the Fraziers a little. Claire had graduation on Friday night, so we didn't see them. She also had prom on Saturday night! We went to church on Saturday night (Our Lady, no one had masks on) and then went to Neil and Ryann's for a cookout. The girls spent the night with the Fraziers and hit some balls Sunday morning with Amy and Sarah before going up to the Lake. It was sunny on Sunday, but still not very warm. It didn't stop the kids from tubing though. They had a blast like they always do. I ran around the lake with Sarah, Erin and Brooke. Jack decided to stay with Mike and Sarah to spend some more time with Nicky and ride with them back to Bentonville on Thursday. The girls and I left early Monday morning. We stopped at the Candy Factory on the way home for the clean bathrooms (and candy)!

Ollie Missing Sam

We came home from school on Thursday and Ollie was missing Sam!

Fun Side-by-Sides

First day of first grade at St. Vincent, and ironically, he chose to use the same back pack on his last day to pack a change of clothes for field day dunk tank
First day of kindergarten at St. Charles. Last day of 8th grade at St. Vincent
First day at St. Vincent de Paul in first grade with Mrs. Craven and his graduation in 8th grade next to her. He had a habit of eating his collar in first grade. She told him on graduation that it was good he grew out of that habit...I laughed and opened his suit jacket and showed her the stains from dinner on his shirt! Some things never change!

Jack's Well Child Check

Jack had his well child check today. He grew 4.5 inches last year and is 5

9.25" (88th percentile) and was 127 pounds (67th percentile).

8th Grade Graduation

We celebrated Jack's 8th grade graduation tonight with a mass at the church. The girls sang beautifully, too. Jack was awarded with the Presidential Education Award for Academic Excellence for having all As. He has been at St. Vincent for the last 8 years and it will be odd not to have him riding in the front seat with us to school next year. He has grown up so much and we are thankful for all his teachers he had over the years that have loved and supported him. Off to Bentonville High School in the fall. We ate at Outback before the mass/ceremony and after we came home to Dairy Queen ice cream cake.

Mrs. McCarty with Jack

We were so glad to have Mimi there

Jack's friends, Yandel, Abrahm, and Tony
A lot of the boys
Jack and Connor. Connor left this year but came back to see everyone graduate
These two were peas in a pod. Yandel is on his toes in this picture!

Jack's geometry teacher. She was a great teacher this year for him

Ella is a good friend to the girls. They will be graduating before we know it!

The geometry glass with Mrs. Pardetti. This was a great class for these kids
The moms
Molly and the girls. She is such a good role model to them
Kamdyn and the girls--such a good kid
This was Jack's first girlfriend! They broke up last year though
The moms and the kids. Jack wasn't a fan of this picture. For some reason, I was friends with all the girl moms and not the boy moms?

Jack's first grade teacher (and taught him ELA in 5th and 6th)
Jack's 5/6th science teacher and was also his foreign language teacher this year

Geometry class

When we got home, he played basketball in the driveway...with no shirt!

Odd that we got this when we got home from his graduation.
