Art Show

The girls had a few pieces of their art displayed in the art show at school. Anna did not take art as an elective so she didn't have any pieces.

Dry Needling

Elizabeth struggles with really tight calves (she walks on her toes!). So we tried some dry needling this week to see if it would help. She tolerated the needles well, and was able to add some electrical stim to them. It really helped her calves to relax and she felt much better after. She told me after her run that nothing hurt! Haha! I'm thinking at age 12 you should be able to run without anything hurting :-)

Jack...

We came home from the golf match and I saw the pasta in the sink from yesterday when Jack made it before we left...

HCAA Conference Golf Match

The girls played in the conference match for jr. high today. There were only 8 jr. high girls that played. Kate came from behind on the last hole to beat Anna by one stroke. (50,51). Elizabeth finished third with a 57. It is a tough course and the jr. high kids played the hardest holes. We were told it is the second hardest golf course in Oklahoma. We were thankful the rain stopped for them to be able to get the match in. It was cold when they started, in the 40s! We drove up yesterday in the rain, the Tulsa match was cancelled, so we ate at Cracker Barrel and then caught the Secrets of Dumbledore at the theatre.

Midterm Grades for the Girls

Jr. National Honor Society

All three girls got into the jr. national honor society this year. They had all As and showed leadership, service, and fellowship.

John's Word Art

He got to laughing about the "blue sweater" one! He only has one more week at Walmart, then on to his new job. It was a good 8 years for him there.

St. Vincent de Hoops Day 2

Day two, the bracket play. We started in seed one, so we played seed 4 which we won. Then we played the winner of seed 2 and 3. We lost to Coach Lunsford's team with four OCA high school players in a close game. Then we went to the loser's bracket and won so we made it to the championship game. This was coach Lunsford's team. We won the first game in overtime...John made a basket at the buzzer! Then we had to beat them again because it was a double elimination. They came up short in another close game. It was the 5th game they had played that night and Alex and John were pretty tired. The girls held up okay, but were tired as well. They had a lot of fun. The kids were pretty impressed with how well John could play (as was I, lol, he is old). Jack told me the next day that he didn't know dad was that good of a basketball player :-)
