Ollie Turns Three!

We left the morning of his birthday, so we took him to get a pup cone tonight at the square.

 

Grandmom, Granddad visit plus a few Szczepanski Kids

Grandmom and Granddad stopped by on their way to Texas. They brought a few of the Szczepanski kids with them. They had fun swimming in the heat!

 

Braces Off!

Kate and Elizabeth got their braces off today! Kate has had them for almost five years and Elizabeth has had them about 2.5 years. They have a few more months of invisalign but they were glad to get them off!

 

Temple Open House

They built a temple right by our house and there were open houses for the public. We went with our friends, Emily and Georgia to see the inside before they bless it is an seal it. It was interesting to see it and to learn about it.

 

Paradise Valley: AR PGA #4

Anna sat this one out because her shin has been bothering her. Kate finished 2nd, Elizabeth finished first.

 

Otter Creek AJGA and IU Visit

Jack and I headed to Columbus, IN so he could play in the AJGA qualifier in Otter Creek before heading home. John and the girls left and drove back to Bentonville. Jack played really well. He was two over on the front and one over on the back going into the last hole...where he "made a snowman" as he says. He shot a 79, finished in the top half, and missed making the cut to play in the tournament. We drove to Bloomington and walked around the IU campus. He saw the business school and Assembly Hall. On Monday, we did an information session for interested students. He really liked the campus and school.

Quick Trip to Indiana

John played in the Sycamore member-guest with Michael this weekend, so we made a quick trip there. The kids played golf with Amy on Friday morning, and we had a cook-out with the Szczepanskis after mass on Saturday.

Lost Springs: AR Jr. PGA #3

Kate won this match with a new low score of 78. She had a 41 on the front and 37 on the back. She was one under on the back going into 18, but made a double on it. She had one bogey on the front, plus one 8...other than that, she had all pars. She hit it really well. Anna was second with an 83, and Elizabeth had an 84. After the match, they had a swing lesson with Phillip Walker. Jack also won his age division with a 73. He finished birdie, birdie to tie his friend Maddock, then birdied hole one to win the play-off.
