State Champions!

I drove up Tuesday night and left the girls with Margaret so she could get them to school. It was predicted to rain and storm. It was sprinkling when Jack teed off at 9:20. He made it through 6 holes before they blew the horn for lightning. They delayed it about 30 minutes. It started to rain but they sent the boys back out to finish the round. They played about 6 holes in steady rain. Rogers ended up on top again, winning by 7 strokes. Jack finished 9th and was All State with a score of 76. This was the second time Rogers has ever won golf state and it was in 2007. The boys were so excited. They ate at Purple Cow and had purple milkshakes to toast to Fayettville's runner up finish (school color is purple). They danced on the bus ride back to RHS and when they got back, they were met by a ton of students, friends, and families that were all congratulating them. It was such a fun experience for all the boys.

Purple Cow, the trophies got their seats in the restaurant. I think Maddock (the senior) told everyone they were state champs!
