A Season of Parades

Ahh, summer (well, almost). Around here, there are a few parades we like to go to this time of year. The first one was today. What is so nice about this parade, other than the fact we can walk there since it is in our town, is the length of it. About twenty minutes. Not too long, not too short. Perfect. It was a hot one this morning, Jack was sweaty after his bike ride. I think the girls enjoyed their first parade!

Happy Memorial Day!

Stuck

I went to wake up the girls today from their long nap (4 hours!) and this is how I found Anna. Mind you, she was not crying, or even fussing. She somehow managed to get under the pack-n-play mattress and was laying on the bottom of the pack-n-play. It was sort of funny, but a little scary too. That mattress could have fallen over her. The oddest part of it was the fact she wasn't bothered enough to let out a cry to tell us she is no longer sleeping and also no longer on the mattress.

Navy Pier

My sister thinks we are famous.

We had my sister and her family visit us this past weekend. It is so neat to watch the cousins play together. It seems Jack is finally old enough to play with all three of the Druelle kids. They stayed up late and had a blast!

Today, we went to Navy Pier. I hate to admit it, having lived here for almost two years, but this was the first time I have ever been down there. It was a crystal clear, blue sky, perfect temp day. It really couldn't have been better. The girls were quite an attraction! We must have had twenty people ask to take their picture, and a few people video us as we were walking...it was like no one has ever seen triplets before. We even had a professional photographer ask to take their picture, then he gave us his card and told us to email him to get the prints! We also had people stopping us constantly to admire them, so much so, that we just started to avoid eye contact with people so we could keep walking.

Last Day of Preschool

Today was the last day of Jack's preschool at First Congregational Church. Next year, he will go to St. John--which is just a few blocks away from our house. I can't wait to walk him to school! His teachers were great this year and he enjoyed the schedule and structure of preschool. He loved the art projects, playing with the dress up clothes, kitchen, dolls, Play Duh, puzzles, songs, circle time and playing outside! Oh, and the snacks! We will miss it!

Today, his class met at a nearby park for a picnic. It was a hot day, but the girls, Jack, Madeleine and I made the half mile walk there (Jack rode his bike). I guess this qualifies as the girl's first picnic! They were well behaved, especially since they missed most of their morning nap.

Maria's Birthday

Our niece, Maria, turned one this month and we made it to her birthday party this past weekend. She is so cute! The party was fun, we enjoyed to see everyone!

                                                   Maria loved her cake!
I love this picture of her!

Nine Months

nine months...three blessings

What are they doing?
Anna babbles--Dada, Baba. She feeds herself puffs and claps! She dances to music.
Kate dances to music and sometimes without music.
Elizabeth is the most flexible, she eats her feet while sitting. She coos at herself while looking in the mirror and will lean over and kiss the mirror. She also babbles: Dada, Baba and Mama. She rocks to music!

They are all sitting very well. They all roll from prone to back and Kate rolls from her back to prone. They bang blocks, pick up cups and bring everything to their mouths. They all drink from a straw sippie cup and from a regular sippie cup. They are eating rice, oatmeal, carrots, green beans, peas, lima beans, corn, cauliflower, spinach, peaches, pears, watermelon, bananas, applesauce, blueberries, squash, and sweet potatoes. They reach for each other and steal toys. They blow raspberries, coo, squeal, scream with joy, laugh and are ticklish! Here are some of their nine month pictures.

I always try to take a few pictures of my children on the exact month birthday, so I did this morning. Taken 5/21/10--Nine months
