Pig Tails (Finally!) for Kate

I was finally able to get Kate's hair up in pigtails. They were pretty small, but cute. Now, when I ask the girls to sit for a picture, they will sit and say, "cheese". Speaking of speaking, they are all doing extremely well on their speech. Now that they are two, they don't get corrected anymore for being premature, but when evaluated last week for a 24 month old, they were pretty much right on track, only missing a few things. They are talking more and more!

Other things of interest in our house this weekend: Kate made her way out of her pack-n-play on Friday afternoon after her nap. In fact, she came walking into the kitchen where Jack and I were and laughed...Saturday morning she climbed out of the crib and Anna watched her and she did too. Next thing we knew, they were both banging on their door of their room! The three of them are smart, but I like to think they can't outsmart their Grandmom who can fix anything! We drilled new holes in the bottom of the cribs and moved their mattresses down--almost to the ground level. On one crib, we had to put two mattresses on top of each other to make it work. But, we figured it out, the new drilled holes bring the mattresses down about 5-6 inches and Anna and Kate have not attempted to climb out of them yet! Time will tell, I'd like to keep them in a crib for at least the next 6 months to a year.
