Springdale Turkey Trot

We decided to run a mile/5k Thanksgiving Turkey Trot before eating ou Thanksgivingr meal. Most of us signed up for the mile, but the course was not well marked, so everyone ran more than a mile, and a few did the full 5k. Jack and Grandmom signed up for the 5k and ran it together and finished around 38 minutes. I signed up for the mile with John and the girls. John stayed with the girls and they finished around 30 minutes and they ran somewhere between 2 miles and the full 5k. I am not sure how much they cut off. I was proud of Elizabeth for staying up with them, as running doesn't come easy for her. I started with the girls, but stayed back with Marie when she wanted to walk. Then, Marie walked with Granddad and Uncle Neil who were pushing Elizabeth and Maggie and I ran the finish of the race with Emily, then I kept running back and forth to meet the different groups coming in. Despite it being very cold, it was a great morning to get out and enjoy the race.
