Friday Fun Day~Part One

(**ADAPTED FROM RYANN'S BLOG)

We enjoyed a relaxing morning on Friday.  Neil & Emily went to the store and came back with eggs, pancakes & syrup.  Then we made breakfast. The pancakes were delicious!  Later in the morning, the kids got to make gingerbread cookie trees with Grandmom! They loved decorating the cookies and eating candy, too! Afterward, the kids played and the guys watched sports.  After lunch, we decided to go walk the trails by the Crystal Bridges Museum. It was a beautiful day & we enjoyed being outdoors. The kids had fun running around, too.

After walking the trails, most of us went back to the Scudders while Laura took Sarah & John on a quick tour of Bentonville.  The kids had fun playing outside for awhile. Neil tossed the football around with Emily & Kevin while Maria had fun trying out the pogo stick. Thomas & Elizabeth played inside. Then we headed to Fayetteville for pizza, salad & garlic bread at Geraldi's. The restaurant was near the University of Arkansas. Afterward we went to see the Lights of the Ozarks in Historic Fayetteville Downtown Square & Gardens. It was a beautiful display of 450,000 lights!! So pretty!  After walking around for a little while, Neil, Dad, John & John took Emily & the boys to the University of Arkansas vs. North Texas basketball game.  Arkansas won 89-73. Sarah, Mom, Laura & I went back to the Scudder's house. Some of the girls stayed up for a little while to watch a movie.  Maria & Elizabeth were tired though so I got them ready for bed & Grandmom stayed in the girls' room with them until they fell asleep.
