Daisy Float

We decorated the Daisy's float today with the rest of the Daisy troop. The girls are dressing as snowmen and we put lights on the float and made signs today. It was still raining (blah) so we decorated inside a barn. The girls helped with the signs for a while, but also went to look at the cows. They also enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies. The Rogers city parade is Friday night--should be fun for the girls!
We were at Ella's grandparent's house and her grandpa locked the girls in the livestock trailer for fun. They found their way out, though.

Ladybugs

Aunt Sarah and Uncle John got the kids this ladybug house for their birthdays. We ordered the babies online and they came in the mail with all the food they would need. We had to add water every few days and we watched them form their pupae and metamorphosis. Today we noticed they shed their exoskeleton and now they are walking around as adult ladybugs! I think John and I enjoyed watching this as much as the kids!

Minions

After the Fraziers left this morning, we took the kids to see the Minions movie since it was STILL raining...and cold. It was a good way to spend the afternoon. The movie was cute and they liked it.

Christmas Cards

I worked on Christmas cards this past weekend. This year, I had the girls sign the back of the letter I write each year to the doctor who delivered them (Dr. Nelson) and the doctor that did my mouth surgery while I was pregnant with them (Dr. Peltzer). I have been sending both of them cards since the girls were born thanking them for their care.

Gingerbread House

Well, on black Friday it was black with rain all day. We did some gingerbread house decorating in the morning and played some games. Then John took a few of the kids and Uncle Tim around town to show him a few things. He has never been to Bentonville. Then, the rest of us met with them for some lunch at Which Wich. After lunch, Susie, Sarah, Claire and I went to a few stores. It wasn't too busy at that time. Plus I think the rain kept people away. When we got back, we ate left-overs and spend the night playing more games and watching some of the games.

Thanksgiving--Much to be Thankful For

The kids were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Fraziers on Thanksgiving morning. They kept busy playing outside while I worked on the dinner. They made it to our house around 1:00 pm. We ate dinner around 3:00 pm with smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, and gravy. It all tasted so good.

After dinner, we went to Crystal Bridges and walked the trails before it started to rain. We came back for ice cream, peach pie, pumpkin pie and cheesecake.

Getting Ready for the Fraziers

The kids helped me clean the bathrooms, wipe the windows and vacuum the floors today. They didn't have school, so it was a day of waiting. We also ate lunch at Chick-Fila with Daddy. Carter got a much needed hair cut, too!
