Softball Season

The girls have been having a lot of fun this year playing machine pitch softball. They have all hit the ball--finally. Elizabeth does a modified bunt to hit it because she is slightly afraid of the ball, but she makes it work for her. Anna has been playing pitcher and she is very serious about this new job. She actually is pretty good at it and at the last game, she almost caught a pop fly right back to her. She is not afraid of the ball. She has also played a little at first base. Kate has been playing thrid base and Elizabeth played center field.

Emma and Kate read the morning prayer and did the Pledge today. I was working, so I snapped a quick picture before. Good job girls!

Roller Skating and Birthday Parties

Boy, it has been busy on the weekends. The kids did not have school on Friday, so Jack spent the night with a friend and went to the roller skating party for SVdP. He has never roller skated before, so he ended up with a few bruises! The girls had a soft ball game so couldn't go roller skating. They enjoyed getting their nails painted on their day off school, however.

Saturday morning, the kids and I went to the fitness expo downtown Bentonville. After golf and nutcracker practice on Saturday, the girls went to a really fun birthday party for their classmate. It was a fashion show. They loved designing their own shirts/dresses and shoes and wearing a little bit of make-up. They even had a fashion show and came down the "runway" for the moms and dad when we picked them up. It was a cute idea and they just had a blast!

Saturday in September

Mimi, Uncle John and Jake came for a quick visit this weekend. They boys went to the Ohio State vs. Oklahoma football game on Saturday. Jack had a blast tailgating and getting to see the OSU players get off the bus, and meeting #11, Austin Mack. Before they left for the day, we went to the Saturday morning meeting at Walmart and they had all kinds of stuff for the kids to do. The girls loved riding the ponies! Uncle John loved the hand squeezed lemonade and elephant ears.

Nutcracker practice is going on, and the girls are loving their Angel part. They are practicing every Saturday.  Rocky had a rough week adjusting to John being gone. He was up most of the night crying in his cage...and immediately was a good boy the day he came home. I guess he is a daddy's boy...

I have never seen a dog that like to lie on his back as much at this one

Kids Golf Tournament

Jack came in third this weekend in his 9 hole tournament in Tulsa. He forgot his putter so he had to use John's and his putting was not the greatest. He shot a 57.

Squirrel Festival

The pride of Bentonville...the squirrel festival. We only stayed a bit this year. No squirrel tasting, this time!

Nutcracker Tryouts

The girls were excited to try out for the nutcracker. This year three of their friends will perform with them. Francesca was casted as an angel with the girls and Viviana and Isabelle are Polichinelles. Practices start now for the performance the first week of December!
