Nashville and Vanderbilt

Over Labor Day weekend, we took a quick trip to Nashville. We left Friday evening and made it to Jackson, TN. Saturday morning, we drove to Nashville. We showed the kids the apartments and house we lived in and drove around those areas. Then, we checked into our hotel on Vanderbilt's campus and walked the campus. We ate at SATCO (which the kids loved) and walked to the Nursing building (it was locked) and into the medical library. We also went inside the hospital and the new children's hospital. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at the bookstore and the kids picked out a shirt. After getting smoothies, we went back to the hotel to get ready for church. After church, we drove downtown, to 17th ave, Music Row and then we ate at McNamara's Irish pub. It was very cool for us to see all these places again after 12 years.

The apartment we lived in Cool Springs, The window under the red circle it the window we used to put a chair up to so Carter could see us coming home.

The duplex on 18th ave. This was the first place we lived (on the right side).

We walked inside the gym and a few basketball players were practicing. Jack thought this was really cool.

Walking to the library

SATCO for lunch

Godcheaux and Frist Hall

Spent a lot of time in that building

Medical school. I had to explain to the girls what a blood vessel was.
Eskind Biomedical library
Third floor study tables. I was here quite a bit!
Light Hall. Part of the medical school. I had lectures here, too. I told Jack to stand here and I would take his picture and in 13 years when he starts medical school here, I would take another one and compare the two!

One of my favorite pictures from the weekend on 17th ave.

Dinner and live music. Jack tried Shephard's pie and loved it.
