Science Fair and Genius Hour

The 5th grade worked in groups of four to do a science project in school this year. Kate's project had to do with slime (of course), Elizabeth did hers on salt and ice melting and Anna's group did how far a paper airplane will fly. They did a nice job presenting their projects and understanding the scientific process. Jack's grade did Genius Hour. They had to come up with some new or creative idea. Jack did his on shooting free throws. He made a video and talked about the ABCs of shooting. A for attitude, B for basics and C for commitment. He had to shoot the video a few (hundred) times until he didn't mess up the wording and also until he made at least 80% of the baskets. He made 19/21 in his final video.
