Christmas with Szczepanskis

We spent Sunday visiting both sides of the family. I made egg nog, the one from Grandfather. I have the recipe memorized I have made it so much. 12 eggs separated, beat the whites to stiff peaks and add 1 cup sugar. Add 1 cup sugar to yokes and mix with 1 cup brandy and 1 cup dark rum. Mix four 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream into stiff peaks and add 1 cup sugar. Fold the cream and egg whites together. Add to the yokes and fold it all together. Add gallon of milk and gallon of vanilla ice cream. Nutmeg on top! We had a turkey dinner at Szczepanskis in the evening and the kids played. On Monday morning, the kids got up and we started presents at 9 am. After presents, we had eggs, ham sandwiches, salad, veggies and fruit. We went for a nice walk in the afternoon even though it was cold. Then we loaded up the car to leave in the morning. The girls loved their ballet pointe show decorated like a Chinese theme in their Nutcracker from Grandmom and Jack got a new jacket which he needed and some books, wallet and money.
