AR AAU State Track Meet

The girls have been looking forward to this meet for a few weeks. The day was hot! The started at 8am with the 3k. Anna won, 2 seconds from her PR with 11:36.33. Kate and Elizabeth set PRs finished super close to each other. Kate's time was 12:04.38 and Elizabeth's time was 12:04.82. Elizabeth and Kate did the triple jump and were the only 13 year olds to do it. Kate jumped 28-6.5 (not her best). Elizabeth jumped for the first time, 27-6.5. Anna and Elizabeth ran the 1500m. Anna ran a 5:27.24 and Elizabeth had a 15 second PR with a time of 5:32.82. Marie ran the 4x800m rely with them to advance to regionals. Marie also finished 3rd in the shot put. Their time was 11:36.09. Kate and Anna ran the 800m but it was such a long day, it wasn't until 8:30 pm! Unfortunately, Anna tweaked her calf on the last 100m of the 800m and had to limp it in. She finished first with a time of 2:44.73 and Kate was 2:47.93 after slowing down at the end because of Anna.
