Track Meet #5: Gravette

The girls had their last regular season track meet today. The weather was beautiful. They all ran the 4x800 to try to beat the school record. Kate is just coming back from her calf, so she only did this even after sitting out of the last meet to rest. Emma started out with a 2:49.72, then Elizabeth ran a (PR) of 2:32.53, then Kate ran a 2:37.30 (too nervous to kick), then Anna ran a (PR) of 2:26.14 to finish first with a new record of 10:25.67. The previous record was from 2013 (11:02.2). Anna and Elizabeth ran the 1600 shortly after and their legs were tired. Anna ran a 5:35.35 (1st) and Elizabeth ran a 5:42.66 (2nd). Anna ran the 400 about 15 minutes later and won it with a 1:03.79 (about 0.5 from her PR). Elizabeth ran the 800m and felt much better and rested. She ran a PR 2:31.02 and finished first. Anna also did the high jump (4-4) and finished 11th. Elizbeth did the triple jump (29-5.5) and finished 4th. THe team finished 5th out of 16 teams.
