Last Day of Freshman and Junior Year

 The school year actually ended last week (Thursday was the last day they went to school) and then it was cancelled because of the tornado. But, they finished and now I can't believe that Jack will be a senior!

Jack's Memorial Day Weekend

 Jack spent the weekend in south Arkansas with Maddock and his family and a few other friends again. They played in the same tournament and Maddock and Jack finished 3rd in their heat. He had fun!

Tornado!

 Early this morning a F2 tornado pass through Bentonville (our house). There were actually 7 tornadoes that passed through this area from Decatur, Centerton, Bentonville, Rogers, and out by the lake. School was cancelled for the rest of the school year because of all the damage to the area. The kids spent the rest of the week volunteering around town cleaning up trees. We had minimal damage compared to others.We had two broken windows, a few trees down in the front of our house (our little magnolia was across the street in our neighbor's driveway. The girls and I were still in Alabama and Jack was in south Arkansas. John was home with the dogs and he took cover in the closet under the stairs. He said it was so loud from the wind and hail. Teddy wanted to play, Ollie was scared. 

Running Lane Track Championships

 The girls went to Running Lane again this year to run a few more events. Elizabeth ran the 3200m on Friday and didn't run a PR, but better from her Meet of Champs run (11:35.02). Today Elizabeth ran an 800m (first one this spring) and won her heat (2:22.91) and Kate also ran an 800m (2:22.35). It was really hot for this race! Kate and Anna ran the 1600m. Kate ran 5:11.30 (5:14.06 mile). Anna was seeded last in her heat and lost it a little on the final lap (5:23.65 full mile, and 5:21.66 1600m). We had a great trip riding there and back with the Beshears girls in their van. It was a good end to the track season.
