First Tooth!

Jack lost his first tooth tonight. Actually, I pulled it out. I noticed that his adult tooth was coming in behind his baby tooth on both bottom teeth. The right tooth was somewhat loose, so I worked on wiggling it and it came out without too much trouble. The left tooth is not very loose at all. The dentist said to give it a week, then to make an appointment to get it pulled out. The adult teeth are coming in crooked because of the baby teeth.

He was very excited about the tooth fairy. He must have asked quite a few questions tonight--"Is she invisible?" "How does she get in the house?"

We put the tooth in the special box Aunt Sarah and Uncle John gave Jack when he was probably two years old. It is from Europe. Let's hope the tooth fairy remembers to come by!

Trick-or-Treating...again

Our neighbors, the Boatwrights, invited us over to their house before trick-or-treating tonight and since the kids were already in costume, we went to just a few houses with their two girls and Helen. We saw Ms. Kelly (our baby-sitter), Mrs. O'Connor (neighbor across the street) and Ms. Meghan (our other baby-sitter). Just enough to do and be tired enough to go to sleep tonight. We had fun with Helen and the Boatwrights.

Little Bear

Jack came home from school on Friday, running off the steps of the bus, holding a brown bear. He was SO excited. Each weekend, "Little Bear" comes home with a student and they spend the weekend doing fun things. The kindergartner writes a little about what they did with him. So, Little Bear (and Jack) had fun together this weekend!

Trick-or-Treating

We took the kids trick-or-treating tonight. Because of the storms last week, many cities around us changed trick-or-treating. Avon Lake changed it to Sunday, but since John will be out of town tomorrow, we went down the street to North Ridgeville to trick-or-treat tonight. They girls ran from house to house, trying to keep up with Jack. I noticed, no stroller or wagon this year...the kids walked about 3-4 blocks before their pumpkins became too heavy and they got tired. About 45 minutes later, we were back in the car eating a sweet treat. Once we got home, the kids watched Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin and had some popcorn. The girls all fell asleep and Jack made it just a little longer. I think they all had a great time!

Library Class

We are starting to run into friends at the library we go so much now. It is nice to play with friends.
