Valentine's Party

I managed to get the girls to church this morning by myself. We have come a long way with mass. Even up to a year ago, I thought they would five before I could do this. But, they did very well, and only got antsy towards the end. I think the ashes confused them because they thought it was the end of mass, but it wasn't.

The girls had their Valentine's Day party today and I stayed to watch/help. They got a bag full of treats and a HUGE heart cookie that they all enjoyed!

"Fat Guy in a Little Coat"

Ok. I want to clarify that I know my 2 pound three and a half year old is not fat, but that is the way the song goes.

Here is Elizabeth in a 6 month coat. I pulled it out so the girls could play with in on their dolls and instead they take turns wearing around the house. I can't imagine how comfortable it is on top of their long sleeve shirts, but still, they continue to find it daily and wear it. The pacifier was an extra touch--they don't really play with those. So silly!

They Work to the Max, Play to the Max and Sleep to the Max

John left for work yesterday, on a Saturday, at 8:15 and came home at 7:15. Jack played a basketball game (and "Made a hoop!" he excitedly told John on the phone on the way home from the game) and had a friend over to play with all afternoon. When John came home, he and Jack had a sword fight with the light sabers (boys are so strange! They wanted me to watch and all I could think about was something being broken!) for about an hour. Then, they watched part of a basketball game while I folded some laundry and the next time I looked at the two of them, this is what I saw:

Snow Collages

Snow

It was sunny and warmer today so we went outside for some fresh air. I totally dread putting on all the snow gear, but when we get outside, the kids all have so much fun that it is worth it. Today they had a blast sliding (very fast) down the slide, sledding around the yard and swinging. Jack invented a "road block" game on the slide, too.
