Good Luck Runners

The group I run with were all running the Austin Marathon this weekend, so the kids and I dropped off some good luck candy and balloons before they left. Jack especially loved ringing the doorbell and running away!

Winter in Bentonville

This weekend it was beautiful and in the 70s both days. We took advantage and played at the park both days and spent a lot of time outside as well.

Carpets

The little Brown Boy has had a hard time with the peeing in the house. The carpets were needing to be cleaned and so John came home with the Rug Doctor and cleaned them. I'm not sure I can ask for more of this man

Ice Cream with Friends

Snow!

Kids were hoping for a snow day today, but we didn't get enough! Elizabeth walked outside and said, "We definitely are not going outside for recess today!" My little southern bell! She also tried to scrape the snow off the ground and ate it!

The 10 Commandments

 Jack is getting ready for his First Reconciliation and First Communion later this spring. Today, he had to do a 10 Commandment project. While Jack and I were working on it, the girls decided to do their own version of the project. It is amazing to me the difference in Jack and the girls. Jack hates to do anything artsy and creative and is not the neatest person when it comes to handwriting. The girls, on the other hand, love to create things and would spend all day cutting, coloring and gluing.

Jack had to decorate this poster with faith words and add lots of color.

Saturday and Sunday

I finished cleaning up the bed (there was dirt from storage and crayon from the previous owners) and put the girls room together again. I had to find new spots for their names to hang with the new bed. I still need to order their bedding, but their room is done! Jack also had a friend over this afternoon after tennis and taekwando. He played a basketball game Saturday night and scored two points. Their team ended up losing 39-26. The other team had some really good players that played the whole game because they were short subs. One player from the other team scored 26 points--not bad for a second grader! On Sunday we had a nice relaxing day at home and ordered wings and watched the superbowl (well, John and Jack watched it).
