Sleepover with Best Friend

The girls had their best friend, Emma spend the night and had fun the next day swimming and playing with barbies and their American Girl dolls.

Tanyard Creek

It was a tad cooler this morning, so we decided to hike at Tanyard Creek. Jack said this was probably his favorite thing we do off our summer bucket list and the girls enjoyed it too. We will have to go back later in the summer. The love seeing the dam on Windsor Lake and also the old house ruins. The waterfall is always a hit, too.

Sleepover with Emery

I have allowed the girls to have some girls over this summer. They had their friend Emery spend the night and Jack went to spend the night with her brother. He had a great time and really likes Caleb, her brother. The girls were very sweet and easy (finally!)

Softball vs. Crush

The girls played last night. They won in a mercy rule after less than 3 innings, 13-1. Elizabeth had three at-bats, one hit, one ground out and one home run. She also had one RBI. Kate had 2 at-bats with one home run and one hit. Anna had 2 at-bats with 1 single, 1 double and 1 RBI. Anna caught a fly-out for an out, had a nice stop and throw to first for an out and also had a great play noticing a running trying to get to home and threw the ball to Kate who caught it and tagged the runner at home for an out! Elizabeth played short stop and had a great stop and throw to first for an out. All the girls played great defense!

Strawberry Picking

I took the girls strawberry picking this morning. We met Amy and Lindsay Rushing. We have not seen them for a while and were talking about when we went strawberry picking a few year ago, so we decided to go. It was so hot! Heat index was over 100. After, we stopped at the Chocolate factory in Elm Springs and the girls each picked out a type of chocolate. Then we headed to the store to get some groceries and they talked me into angel food cake and whipped cream! Yum!
