First Cotillion For Jack

Jack had his first 6th grade Cotillion tonight. There are quite a few kids from St. Vincent's that participate. We all met up around 4:15 at Orchard's Park and got a few pictures of all the kids, then there were a few carpools that took the kids to the dance. After the dance, the kids went to play putt putt and had pizza and snacks. Jack said he had a good time, he got a ribbon for answering a question. I guess the kids with the most ribbons at the end of the season gets some sort of prize.

Softball, Golf, Nutcracker, Birthday Party

Busy, busy, busy Saturday! The girls had softball practice and John and Jack played some golf. Then the girls went to auditions for Nutcracker, then a birthday party for a friend. Jack had his first Cotillion later that night (another post) and we went to mass. It was a busy day!

Mass Buddy, Cantor and Dinner

Jack was so excited to finally get his mass buddy. Zane is the younger brother with two of his 6th grade classmates. He also was a cantor for the first time at all school mass. He sang the communion hymn with two other boys. He did a nice job. After school, the girls had their friend, Emma over to play and then we went to dinner with the McCartys at Big Orange. It was a nice Friday.

Rocky likes to hide his big dog food instead of eat it. I found a few on top of our bed after making it. 

First 10U Softball Games

The girls moved up to 10U softball and kid pitch. This is a young team since they are all just 9 years old. They had their first games tonight. It was a double hitter, too! Elizabeth started off pitching the first game against the Gators and Kate was the catcher. Anna played short stop. Elizabeth did well, she had one strike out and no runs allowed. They won 13-0. Elizabeth had two walks and one strike out. Kate had three at bats, three hits (one double), one run and three RBIs. Anna had one hit that was an error home run and one RBI. In the second game against the Wave Runners, Anna pitched and Elizabeth caught. Kate played third. Anna had four strike outs (including a three-up, three-down inning) and allowed no runs. They won 12-0. Elizabeth had two hits, two RBIs, one run and was hit by a pitch once. Anna had two hits (one triple) and one run. Kate had two strike outs and was hit by a pitch once. It was definitely a different pace of game with the kids pitching, but they showed some great effort and made some good defense plays for some outs.

Wakefield's Visit

The Wakefields came for the weekend. They had a great time swimming, riding bikes, playing outside, completing the Trifest (another post) singing in the choir, the girls cantered again and they puffy painted some shirts and shorts. They love having Lauren to "watch"over, too.
