A Knight to Remember--Under the City Lights

John and I went to the Gala for the first time in four years. It usually falls on the same weekend as the Princess Half Marathon, so we don't go. We had a great time, bidding on Kids Take Over the School, a family game night basket and also donating to the new gym floor!

Dad's Picture

My aunt posted this on FB the other day. I have seen this photo before, but it always strikes me at how much my grandpa looks like my dad. This is his family coming over on a boat to America from Holland when my dad was 7 years old. My dad is on the far left, then Yvonne, Aleida and my Uncle Richard is in Grandpa's arms.

Arkansas vs. LSU

We were given basketball tickets on the floor right behind the Arkansas players. Arkansas won, too 99-90. It was pretty fun.

First Round of Tournament Play

The girls played their first tournament game tonight. They finished undefeated in the regular season and went into this game ranked #1. They played well, but the #4 team almost came back to beat them! They won 22-18 with Anna scoring 5 points, and Elizabeth scoring 8. The other team scored 8 points in the final 5 minutes of the game!
