Broken Arrow Kids Golf Tournament #1

The kids all played in their first kids golf tournament of the fall. Jack started out slow, but finished with 7 pars for 84 for 6th place. Anna was 3rd with a 49, Elizabeth was 4th with a 51 and Kate struggled a little today with a 60 for 7th.

The girls headed out for a run and finished up with Mrs. Spears. They have been working at it this summer!

First Day of 8th Grade and 6th Grade

We started school this morning. This will be Jack's last year at St. Vincent. He is in Mrs. Grom's class. The girls are starting 6th grade in a class together. I started working my 8th year (part time) on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the nursing office. Elizabeth was coming off a bad cold that turned into pneumonia (but it was NOT COVID-19, we had her tested), so she sat in class at home virtually. She was disappointed not to  see her friends, but she needed an extra few days to stop coughing. The rainbow will hopefully bring us good luck this school year!

 

Mimi and Aunt Mary Visit with Sarah and Margaret

It was so nice to have Mimi, Aunt Mary, Margaret and Sarah visit us. Margaret loves to sit by the pool and Sarah got a lot of golf with John and Jack. The kids all went to the water slide in Missouri on Monday, but Elizabeth had developed a cough a few days ago, so she stayed behind. Since we start school this week, I took her in and she was tested for COVID. She came back negative. She continues to improve, but she did end up with a pneumonia. She made this cake with Aunt Mary while the kids were at the water slide. 

 

New Bed Covers

The girls got new bed covers as part of their birthday gift from Mimi and Aunt Mary. They love the new look of their rooms.

 

Playing Golf

John, Jack and Sarah went up to Big Cedar to play golf. The Tiger Wood course was so pretty. They played 9 holes and 13 holes.
