We went to the track that was about a mile away to watch Hattie run the freshman mile, then went back to the hotel to rest up before the 4x800m relay. MJ started the relay running a 2:20 split, Elizabeth was second leg running a 2:18 split (PR by 4 seconds), Kayla ran leg three with a 2:17 split and Anna anchored with a 2:17 split. They won their heat, but because they did not race it during the indoor season, they were in heat 2 of 4. Their time held for the third heat and going in the final heat they were hopeful it would keep them in the top 6. Unfortunately, it did not hold and they ended up in 7th, just off the podium and All American status. They missed it by 2 seconds. This was a Rogers High School school record and #16 US time this year. Lilly ran the 5k and finished 6th to make the podium after the relay. Their time was 9:14.58.

New Balance Nationals Indoor: Day One
We left early and got to Boston around lunch time. We checked into our hotel and the girls went for a run along the Charles River that was right across the street from the hotel. The moms went to the grocery store to get a few food items. That evening, the girls and I went to see the marathon finish line and then met with a few friends at New Balance and Running Lane for dinner.

Irish 10k
I ran the Irish 10k for the first time in a while. Jack woke up with a fever, so he did not run. I am glad to be back running again. I finished first in my age group.

First Outdoor Track Meet: Y-Timing
The girls decided to run just one event in the first outdoor track meet of the season. They are getting ready for indoor nationals next week in Boston. They ran the 1600m and on a very windy night they opened up well. Anna barely won against the freshman Maggie with a new PR of 5:05.38 which makes her #1 in Arkansas right now (not everyone has ran yet though). Kate finished third with a time of 5:11.12 which pre-qualifies her to state. She hit this pre-qual on the dot! Elizabeth finished fourth right behind Kate with a time of 5:11.70.
