St. Vincent de Hoops

We took part in a fundraiser for school by creating a basket-ball. Team needed 8 players total. It is a 5-on-5 tournament, but at least 3 of the players in the game at all times had to be current students. Our team consisted of Anna, Kate, Elizabeth and Kinley. The non-students are John, Jack, Alex, and Ashley. We ended up winning all the pool play games in the first round. The girls each scored a few points in each game. They will play Thursday in the bracket play.

 

SVdP Scramble vs. St. Joe

The girls had their second golf match for school today and this one was a scramble. Anna and Kate played in the female division and won with a score of a 39. Elizabeth won in the mixed division with Blake, and they also shot a 39. Our two boys won the male division with a score of 41.

 

Easter

After mass, we went to eat brunch at the Blessings. The kids love the food, especially the yogurt parfaits. Kate had two omelets. Then we had a relaxing day (it was cold!) inside. The girls ran track in the afternoon.

Coloring Eggs and Genius Hour Projects

The girls colored eggs on Saturday after track practice (with hills), except Kate and Jack went to play golf instead. Kate is resting her ankle that she rolled a few weeks ago. The girls finished their genius hour projects. Kate did hers on making a logo. She designed a logo for a running store and we had it placed on a sweatshirt. She made a fake instagram account with five posts and a video. Anna did hers on how to make dog toys. She made four different toys and then did five instagram posts and a video. She loved putting Ollie in her pictures and videos. Elizabeth did hers on engineering and different types. She also did fake instagram posts and she made a video on building a bridge.  

 

Easter Break-Good Friday

The girls had Good Friday off school and Easter Monday. It was a nice break. They had a sleepover birthday at Kinley's house on Thursday. On Friday, they went to track, then we went to get their nails done. They have been begging to get tips put on, and I let them. They were so excited.

Anna looked up milesplit rankings for the United States. Elizabeth is ranked 100 in the 1600m for 7th graders, Anna is 22nd in the 1600m, 12th in the 800m, Elizabeth is 51st in the 800m and Kate is 47th in the 400m.
