We drove to Fort Wayne on the 26th. We celebrated with the Scudders at Frazier's house on the 27th. The kids and some of the adults did a scramble on the simulators at Eel River. Elizabeth's team won and they all got hats. She was on a team with Amy, Uncle Mike, Little Mike, and Margaret. There was another ping pong tournament and Nicky won for the second year in a row. John was second again.
We tried a new french toast dish before opening gifts. One of Anna's favorite gifts was the blanket with Ollie and Teddy on it. Jack loved his gift card tree. All the kids liked the treasure hunt that lead to the garage where the new sauna will be installed next week!
After mass, we went to eat at Mezzaluna, a new Italian restaurant that the Waltons brought to Bentonville. It was very good. Then we went back home to watch the Polar Express in our PJs. This is one of Jack's favorite traditions.
We went to the Christmas Eve Childrens mass at St. Vincent. Afterwards, we got a few pictures with a family that we have been friends with for a long time.
We took a family picture at the square tonight after seeing the movie, Mufasa downtown. We then celebrated Jack's birthday with key lime pie because we were too full last night after dinner!
I love the lights on the square this time of year. I meet friends there to run early in the morning and it always puts a smile on my face. This year was especially great because I spent so much of the year injured. Today, we met to run, then get coffee and then walk.
The kids played golf at Blessings while I cleaned up the house. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then did the drive through lights at the Washington Country Fairgrounds. I didn't get any pictures of the lights, but they were very good.
