It has been six months since Jack had his eye surgery. He was scheduled to follow-up with Dr. Kipp so we thought it was a perfect excuse to visit friends and family. We left on Monday and stopped for lunch at the Meuer's house where Michelle had a fabulous lunch of chicken salad ready for us! Catherine came over as well and Derek, Jack and Ethan all played like they haven't been apart for the last six months. We meet these friends back when Jack was 19 months old--the same age as the girls are now, which is weird for me to think about. Aside from the boys playing, the babies--all five of them--made a big mess in the kitchen with their food. We spent the afternoon with cousins and Jack had a blast as always with them. All four kids slept very well at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike's, which is nice to know for the next visits. On Tuesday we took a walk down our block and ran into a few neighbors whom we miss dearly. Then, we all went to visit Madeleine and Josh before Jack's eye appointment. Madeleine is six months pregnant with a boy and is looking great! Madeleine watched the girls just like the old times while I took Jack to see Dr. Kipp. Jack's eyes checked out great and we will continue to follow-up with him in six months, then every year. We are extremely grateful for Dr. Kipp's skills and God's healing of Jack's eyes.
