Saturday--Houston Rodeo- Livestock Show

We drove all day to the Wakefield's house, and when we settled in, we drove into Houston (in the rain) to the rodeo. The rodeo tickets were sold out, but we were able to experience the part of the show the kids probably would have enjoyed the most: the food and the livestock show. The kids got to pet cows, bunnies, see a honeycomb filled with bees, and see the birthing center and brand new piglets, calves and chicks.

A memorial part of the evening was the half mile walk in muddy puddles...and more muddy puddles...while it was raining. But once we got there and ate some great (fried) food and saw the animals, it was worth it.

 After eating a quick dinner
Yes, one of mine doing cartwheels...

I have this picture of Jack when he was two years old at the rodeo standing in front of the tractor tire. He came about half way up the tire. He has grown just a little!
