Let's Go Golfing Week One

The kids had their first golf match of the summer today at the First Tee. The girls played 6 holes this year instead of 3 and they finished up better than they started. They have not played much golf yet this summer and really struggle on the putting. Kate did well overall and finished 3rd in her age group out of about 25 kids. Elizabeth struggled on the first few holes but finished her last 3 very well. Anna was frustrated when she hit it into the hazard not once, but twice on the same hole. She is not a fan of a drop and extra stroke. She finished with a 49. Elizabeth had a 39 and Kate shot a 34. Next week we will try them with separate tee times since they seem to be so competitive with each other on every shot they take. I thought they would have matured little more from last summer, but I was wrong! Jack also played 6 holes, but the older kids played from the white tees. He finished first in the 9-11 year old age group with a 29.
