Track Meet #2: Elkins

There were 14 teams in this meet and the SVdP girls finished second by two points! Elizabeth ran the 4x800--last leg and the team finished first. Kate ran the 4x100 and the team finished 4th. She ran the first leg. Anna and Elizabeth were just a few seconds off their PRs in the 1600m. They finished first and second (5:31.56 & 5:38.37). Anna's 1600Elizabeth ran the 400m shortly after the 1600 and ran a PR of 1:06.25. She had not ran the 400m in a few years. Anna and Kate ran the 800m and finished first and second (2:29.17 & 2:30.74). Anna's was a few second PR but she had not ran the 800m since last spring. She set the school record (took it from Kate!) and the meet record. Kate tweaked her calf in the last 100m of the 800m so she did not run the 200m that was after that. Kate and Elizabeth finished 2nd and 3rd in the triple jump with no PRs (29-1 & 28-10). Anna set a new PR in the high jump, 4-4.
