6A Girls State GoldfTournament

The girls played in their state golf tournament at Springdale Country Club. On Monday, they had a practice round. Tuesday started off rough. Anna made a 10 on the front 9 and struggled (48) but came back on the back (40) to finished 88 and one stroke out of being All Conference. Kate really struggled on the front 9 (52 with three quads and one triple) but came back on the back 9 to shoot 39 and finish 91. Elizabeth was 44 on the front, but struggled on the back once she realized she was the low score on the team and shot 52 on the back (96). Our number 1 golfer, Avery also struggled and ended the day at 91. They finished tied for 4th in the conference and tied for 6th after the first day. They take 7 teams to day two and they barely made it. The teams that beat RHS on the first day had not beaten them all year. The girls came back on day two. Elizabeth shot an 81 (6th lowest score of the day) to finish T21 overall. Kate shot an 84 to finished T15th overall. Anna shot an 94 to finish T10 overall and All State. Avery struggled again and shot an 86. Rogers pulled up from T6 to T3 overall. It was a great season and a great birthday to watch them battle back.
