Rim Rock Cross Country Meet

This was a huge meet in Lawrence, KS and the home cross country course for Kansas. It was very challenging with multiple hills (mountains as the girls told me). They had three separate lightning delays and the girls warmed up three times before they were able to run. It was three hours after they were scheduled to and the ground was a little muddy. Before that, on the way to the meet, the Rogers bus broke down and the kids got out to walk the three miles to the meet. Luckily there was another team that picked them up and gave them a ride to the meet. It was an interesting experience. Kate finished 36th (19:41.9). Elizabeth was 73rd (20.32.1), and Anna finished 79th (20.42.4). The team finished 9th out of 29 teams.
