cousins came over for a play date. Thomas goes to Jack's school and Aunt Ryann picks up Jack and Thomas and dropped them off along with Kevin to play. We are going to get these boys together once a week alternating houses.

I just love this time of year. My parents have the best October leaves. What a nice time of year to be staying with them!

Weekend Pictures

We spent a lot of time this past weekend with the Fraziers, Scudders, Aunt Cindy and Mimi and Papa. Here are a few pictures that I took on Sunday.

Elizabeth loves Erin. She only lets Erin hold her or John and I, but she also will let my dad hold her, too. She cries when someone else picks her up, or when we put her down. Plus Erin can get her to belly laugh.

A Blast From the Past

This weekend I felt like I aged about 15 years! On Friday night, we went to our old high school football game. It was weird, we haven't been to that stadium since my senior year. The game was a close one and Dwenger ended up winning it in double overtime. They are undefeated this year thus far. On Saturday, I caught up with some college friends at Ball State for their homecoming football game. Wow, walking the campus was very strange...it seems like just yesterday we were in school there, but yet everything is so different! The girls are always so great to see and since we are all over the country now, it isn't very often that we can get together for fun. Too bad Ball State lost to WMU.

Our New Playroom

We have the girls set up in "the man room" as it is called by our family. This room is for the guys to do whatever they want, usually. Since we are staying at the 'Inn Szczepanski' for a while, my mom and dad cleared out the room and put up a gate so the girls can play safely.

Adjusting

We are adjusting to our new (temporary) home and life. We have been able to keep the kids on their schedules, so they have been predictable for the most part. The girls, especially, have been doing great. In fact, I think they have become sleeping beauties since arriving here! Jack started preschool today, and as I thought, he did have a hard time initially. I think the new school, new home, new friends and cousins has thrown him for a loop. When I picked him up, however, he was all smiles and ready to empty out his book bag to show me all the things he did today. The preschool is excellent. John is liking his new job, and the commute is so easy. We are missing our family and friends in Illinois, but it is so nice to be home. We are so thankful God has given us this opportunity.

Before Church yesterday. We have set up a gate and tried to make it as similar as it was for us in WS. The girls are starting to hate the gate. My dad will say "Jail break" when we open the gate to let them out! You wouldn't believe how fast they crawl to get out of there! My mom and dad have been such troopers about all of our "stuff" we have put in all different areas of their house. And about the noise and congestion of six more people living in their home.
