First Soccer Game

Oh my were they excited! They got up at 6:00 ready to go! It was very hot even though their game was at 8:30 in the morning. It is a very laid back league. They play three on three without a goalie. The girls only have five players on their team. They play against other 5U teams, but they are all boy teams except theirs. Although the don't technically keep score, Elizabeth informed me the final score was 9-3 in favor of the boys. I think it was at least that, if not more. Elizabeth scored three goals and she was so excited. Kate and Anna played hard and were very aggressive. They were very happy with how they played and are excited for their next practice on Tuesday and game on Saturday.

First Soccer Practice

Fairy Dust

The girls are into fairies...they love to make fairy dust out of chalk. They each have a job. One scraps the chalk and one uses a paint brush to put the "dust" into a pile and one transfers it into a bowl. Ahh, summertime fun!

Swim Team

 These monkeys tried out swim team today. After being in the cold pool for an hour, they decided they didn't really like swim team. With soccer, tennis and gymnastics, I was okay letting swim team go this summer!

The fairy House

The girls spent some time today making fairy houses. I just love Elizabeth's bed (leaves) with pillows. She also made a pool and bridge. They also put some cracker crumbs and were so surprised to see them gone later in the afternoon!

Girls' Well Checks

The girls had their well checks this morning. They are healthy, growing girls! Anna has had a huge growth spurt this past year. She was 45.5 inches tall (60th percentile) and 40.5 pounds (30th percentile). Last year she was in the 40th percentile for height so she has jumped percentiles this past year. She has 20/20 vision and checked out great. Elizabeth was 43 inches tall (15th percentile) and 35 pounds (3rd percentile). She has been around these percentiles for a few years. She also has 20/20 vision and aside from the splinter that Dr. O pulled from her foot, she checked out great. Kate was 43.75 inches tall (28th percentile) and 40 pounds (25th percentile). She was at these percentiles for the last few years too. She had 20/25 vision and checked out great, too. Elizabeth is the only one with her second molars--she was very excited that she has 24 teeth and Kate and Anna only have 20. We are very thankful for healthy, growing girls!
