I got this beautiful bracelet in the mail today. I was not able to attend the ceremony, but they still sent me a nice bracelet.

Kids Golf

Jack played in another 18 hole tournament in Tulsa this weekend. He was excited that he did better. At the beginning of the season, his goal was to break 85. After this weekend (42-47), he had a new goal of breaking 80 this fall. It was a hot day. Granddad went with them and walked the holes with John and Jack. He finished fourth.

Justice

The girls used their birthday gift cards at Justice today. It was nice they got to pick out stuff they all liked.

St. Vincent de Paul's Slay the 5K

 We FINALLY were able to have our race! After being cancelled the first spring for flooding and last spring for tornados and lightening and last Friday for a hurricane...it was sunny and mid 90s today so we got to have it! It was at Veterans Park in Rogers near the school. AND, I had a surprise. Jack had arranged for Grandmom and Granddad to come! I didn't have a clue they were coming, either. Jack was pretty proud he was able to keep it from the girls and me. It was so much fun! All the kids and John ran the 5k. Jack finished 6th in his age group and the girls finished first (Kate), second (Elizabeth) and third (Anna) for all female runners! They got swords for finishing in the top three. We raised $10,600 for our school.

St. Vincent's First Golf Tournament

This is the first year of golf at St. Vincent's. It is for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Jack was nervous playing 9 holes. He didn't do very well (according to him). We were able to watch the last few holes. He told us he made a 10 on one hole, yikes! He finished second on his team with a 52. I think his frustration was worse because the day before he shot a 39 on 9 holes. The team finished second (out of only two teams though).

First 18 Hole Tournament

Jack played in his first 18 hole tournament this weekend in Tulsa. He started off pretty rough--57 on front and finished up much better (45 on back) for a 102. It was a good start for him playing 18 holes the first time. He finished fourth.
