Family Hayride

Today was the Poinsatte annual family hayride at the barn. I have such a large family, so it is always nice to see everyone. There were quite a few people there today. We have not been to a hayride in years because we were always living out of town. It was such a warm day-the farm is beautiful this time of year!

Thomas, Emily and Kevin (you can barely seen him) pushing the girls to the barn. The best part about the hayrides is we can walk there!

Although you can't see it in their faces, I think the girls were rather excited to be at their first hayride. It is also the first time wearing shoes!

Kate made a friend with her Great Aunt Anne. She followed Kate around in the walker for a long time. She also had some of her ice cream cone.

I get excited when I think about our kids going to these each year--I have great memories of going to these as a child and now my kids will too!

There aren't any pictures of Jack or John because they went with Granddad to the Bears game and met our other cousins there. Jack had a great time and it is always nice to see Uncle Mike, Nicky and Michael. John forgot the camera in the car, so I don't have any pictures to post of the game.

The Zoo Times Two

OK, I admit it, I like the zoo. I think this is because I grew up going to the zoo, so I like to take my children. We went again today with Aunt Sue Sue and Sarah, Amy and Claire and Mimi came, too. Jack dressed up as a pirate this time. We are thankful for all the hand-me-downs he gets from cousins so he has a few costumes to pick from every year!

Friends Visit

We had some good friends visit us today. It is always so nice to see Sarah and her kids. Abby and Jack have known each other for almost three years...most of their lives. David is just a few months younger than the girls. The kids played inside and outside for a while before they had to head home to Ohio.

The best group photo we got. The kids are too mobile!

The Three Little Pigs and the Wolf!

Today we went to the zoo for Halloween at the Zoo! We have been going every year with Jack, but this is the first year the girls went. Jack had fun with Bella, a.k.a Tinkerbell.

He got tired pretty quickly, but he pulled the pigs for a little while.

Fourteen Months

The girls are fourteen months! They are doing new things all the time! All three play peek-a-boo, except, they put their hands on their face or ears instead of over their eyes. Elizabeth says uh oh, mama, dada and Jack. Elizabeth and Anna stand up from the ground and Anna has taken a step. Anna is so close to walking. She likes to play in a squat. Elizabeth has tried to step, but falls. Kate will balance standing and loves to walk with her walker. All three like to do headstands, either one handed or no handed. I will often flip them over and they love to do forward rolls. They love their baths, especially Kate who will splash and splash. They love being outside and getting pushed in their wagon and stroller. They still sleep great, but are getting close to transitioning out of their morning nap. They are starting to interact with each other, which means they will look at, touch and also grab toys out of each other's hands. Anna is the most aggressive, while Kate will cry and look for me to help. They love to play with their mama and are such happy babies, until I walk away! They are still skinny little girls, but strong too!

Here is a random picture of the girls helping me fold laundry a few days ago.

Kurtz's Pumpkin Farm

Jack had his first field trip today! He went with his preschool class to Kurtz's Pumpkin farm to pick out a pumpkin. It was a chilly day, but I think Jack had fun!

Mrs. Kurtz explained how pumpkins are grown to the classes.
