John's 41st

It was a busy Tuesday on his birthday. The kids had baseball and softball, but we managed to have some cheesecake factory cheesecake with fresh strawberries and sing to him. I also was able to eat lunch at Preacher's Son while the kids were at school.

Baseball PT Scrimmage with Prospects

Jack switched baseball teams this year. He made a Perfect Timing team with his buddy from his old team, Joe. He made another team, the Prospects but we declined it after we heard he made the PT team. They had their first scrimmage today and ironically it was against the other team he made and turned down, the Prospects. The team looked pretty good. Being just a scrimmage, they moved players all over the field to get experience in different positions. Jack pitched an inning (4 batters and 4 outs) and played short stops twice, left, center field and second base. He was 2-3 batting. It was a good practice for the boys to learn to play together. We are looking forward to the fall tournaments.

Weekend Fun

 The girls went to the roaring river water slide with some neighbors today. I got a text from the mom that they somehow joined in with a 7th grade boy's birthday parts and scored some cookie cake and ice cream, too...Jack had a friend spend the night, Joe. They spent the afternoon cleaning up their rooms before going to the slide and I was cracking up at what they taped to their doors---especially Kate!

Kate taped a receipt up to her door for some wall decals in addition to letters from her Aunt Cindy and Aunt Ryann...envelopes and all!

The Girls are Nine!

Can't believe they are nine! They started 4th grade this month and are playing softball, golf, basketball, ballet twice a week plus will perform in the Nutcracker again this year and participate in Girls on the Run in the spring. They love to roller blade, make up dances together, sing and swim and play on their iPads.

Girls 9th Birthday

 The girls started their day early with presents. They got roller blades,  pads, a ballet bag and a fake phone from us. They had opened the rest of their presents earlier this summer and are waiting for Mimi's and Aunt Susie's gift. We stopped on the way to school to get donuts, then I brought them McDonalds and ate lunch with them. After school, we went to IHOP (their choice) and they got hot chocolate with whipped cream, pancakes with whipped cream and eggs. Then, we went to their softball practice and we brought chocolate cupcakes. Finally, we celebrated with white cake and ice cream sundaes at home before bed. They had such a fun day and were able to bring slap bracelets and flarp to their classes at school. They are some lucky girls!
