Utrecht, Netherlands~ June 29th~ Part Two

Here are the rest of our pictures:

A couple pictures I forgot from the Dom Tower.  Some more info about the tower, too:  The tower was part of the Cathedral of St. Martin, Utrecht, also known as Dom Church, and was built between 1321 and 1382. The cathedral was never fully completed due to lack of money. Since the unfinished nave collapsed in 1674, the Dom tower became a free standing tower. The tower stands at the spot where the city of Utrecht originated almost 2,000 years ago.

 Utrecht at night

Game day decorations inside a bar the night Netherlands won. John and I were jet lagged, so we went to bed. These are pictures from Ryann. This bar was an old Catholic church & still had some of the religious statues left in it.  It had lots of different beers to choose from. We went back the next night for a drink. It was very cool.

If people couldn't figure it out already, Grandmom's socks left no doubt we were Americans. :-)

Neil wanted a picture with a guy we saw in the bar who was dressed in an orange suit.  So Sarah finally went up and talked to him and Neil got a picture with him.  The guy's name was Daniel and he was a huge football (soccer) fan.  Neil ended up talking to him for quite awhile.
