Grandmom and Granddad Visit

The kids anxiously awaited the arrival of Grandmom and Granddad! They stopped on their way to visit the Wakefield's for a few days. They made into town Tuesday right before the girls' soccer practice, so they got to see them in action a little bit. It was Granddad's birthday on Wednesday, so we took him out to eat at Backyard Burger, then to get ice cream at the Spark Cafe. Granddad got a banana split! On Thursday, it rained a little more in the afternoon, but we were able to get some swimming in the morning and a kickball game after lunch before it started. Then, we had a game-a-thon. Jack set up seven games and we were split into three groups and we rotated around playing different board games. Later, we watched the move, Annie (the new version). The girls had a birthday party at a nail salon and Grandmom and I took them there. It was the first time they have ever gotten a pedicure and I think they are hooked! After the pedicures, they had some yougut and cookie cake. After dinner on Thursday, we taught Jack how to play euchre. Friday morning, they took off for the Wakefields and the kids are already counting down the days they return!
