State Warm Up

Jack's baseball team has not had a real good spring. The boys are mixed ages--some 8 years old and some 7 years old, but they have to play in the 8 U bracket because they have 8 year old boys on their team. Therefore, they do not win games. I think they won one game this spring. Well, the state warm up this weekend had only three teams in their age group--maybe because it was Father's day weekend? Anyway, the boys finally put some of their hard work to practice and looked better than they had all year. They won one pool game Saturday and lost one. Sunday, it was the same, so they ended up in second place and earned a trophy. They were beyond excited.

Jack played well, he hit 5-6 on Saturday and 4-6 on Sunday. He had a few singles and doubles and one triple. He played left and center field. Way to go Elite! Next week it is on to state!
